The national season kicked off with a very tough race from Bourges. Team Noël-Willockx came out strong right from the start and took the zonal victory against 3,575 yearlings. Their hen Nicole was the fastest of no fewer than 6,831 pigeons in her zone!
The first national race of the season was a tough one right from the start. The front runners from Bourges arrived in temperatures of 30 degrees and shifting winds. Not easy conditions, but Team Noël-Willockx’s first nominated bird was not impressed. Nicole (BE25-6035094) immediately took the victory flowers home to Baasrode. She also won 19th National Bourges against no fewer than 23,469 yearlings. This was by no means Nicole’s first success. She had already made her mark in her debut year and during the first few weeks of 2026. An overview of her best performances to date:
